Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 May 2026

Welcome to Ink.ie. These terms and conditions set out the rules for using our website and for ordering products from us. By placing an order with Ink.ie, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.

If you have any questions before you order, please contact our sales team — we're happy to help.

1. About us

Ink.ie is an online supplier of compatible and original ink cartridges, toners, photo paper and printer accessories, serving customers across Ireland. We've been supplying ink and printer products to homes and businesses for over a decade.

2. Placing an order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket at the prices listed. We will send you an order confirmation email once your order is received — please note that this email is an acknowledgement, not an acceptance of your order.

A contract between you and Ink.ie is only formed once we dispatch your order and send you a shipping confirmation. Up until that point, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Errors in the description or price of a product on our website.
  • Stock availability.
  • Suspected fraudulent activity.
  • Failure to meet our order acceptance criteria.

If we cancel your order, any payment taken will be refunded in full to your original payment method.

3. Pricing and payment

All prices on our website are shown in euros (€) and include Irish VAT where applicable. Delivery charges, if any, are shown separately at checkout before you confirm your order.

We accept payment by major credit and debit cards, as well as other payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment is taken at the time you place your order.

We use industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your payment information. We do not store full card details on our systems after the transaction is complete.

4. Product information and accuracy

We work hard to ensure that all product images, descriptions and specifications on our website are accurate. However, please note the following:

  • Product images are indicative only — actual products may vary slightly in appearance from what is shown.
  • Manufacturer specifications can change from time to time without notice.
  • While we make every effort to keep our website up to date, we cannot accept liability for typographical errors, misprints, omissions, or changes in specification (E&OE — Errors and Omissions Excepted).

If you are unsure whether a particular product is right for your printer, please contact our sales team before placing your order. We're happy to confirm compatibility.

5. Delivery

Delivery options, costs and estimated timeframes are set out in full on our Shipping & Delivery page. We ship Monday to Friday only, excluding Irish bank holidays.

While we make every effort to dispatch and deliver orders within the stated timeframes, delivery times are estimates only and we cannot be held liable for delays caused by our courier partners, weather, customs or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Returns, refunds and replacements

Our full returns policy is set out on our Returns, Refunds & Replacements page. In summary:

  • You have 90 days from your original order date to return items to us.
  • Faulty items are eligible for a full refund, replacement or store credit.
  • Items ordered in error must be returned unopened and in pristine condition.
  • You must contact us for a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) before sending anything back.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013.

7. Right to cancel (distance selling)

Under Irish consumer protection law, if you are a consumer buying online for personal use, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, please contact us using the details below.

If you cancel under this right, you must return the goods to us unused, in their original condition and packaging, within 14 days of notifying us. You are responsible for the return postage costs unless the items are faulty.

8. Intellectual property

All content on Ink.ie — including text, graphics, logos, images, product descriptions and software — is the property of Ink.ie or its licensors, and is protected by Irish, EU and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify or commercially exploit any content from our website without our prior written permission.

Brand names and trademarks referenced on our website (for example, printer manufacturer names) are the property of their respective owners and are used for descriptive and compatibility purposes only. Ink.ie is not affiliated with or endorsed by any printer manufacturer unless explicitly stated.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the value of the goods you have purchased.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost data, or damage to printers caused by misuse or improper installation of our products.
  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Irish law.

10. Use of our website

By using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or any connected network.
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.
  • Scrape, harvest or otherwise collect data from our website by automated means.

11. Privacy and data protection

We take your privacy seriously. All personal data collected through our website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

12. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time. The version published on our website at the time you place your order is the version that applies to your purchase. We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms and conditions, and any contract formed between us, are governed by Irish law. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

If you have a complaint about an order, please contact our customer service team first — we'll do everything we can to resolve it directly. If we cannot reach a resolution, as an Irish consumer you also have the right to refer the matter to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) or to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
