Epson printer looks for Epson ink

Unfortunately, it’s not working out too well. My Epson printer is asking me to buy genuine Epson ink. There are white lines appearing on printed material. I followed all of your recommendations on discarding all ink cartridge seals/wrapping and updating software but the problem persists.
